Thanks Allison! I'm a very big fan. This is inspiration at a time when I needed it most. My first book is historical fact/fiction and was easy to start until I 'ran out of gas'. It has taken me years to write, even when I had help with research. I'm picking up my pen now and hope to have it out soon. This wonderful essay has truly given me hope. Thank you so very much! - Brian Johnson, Kingston On.

Glad I could help! Writing is definitely not for quitters -- it's both frustrating and rewarding. Happy New Year!

I started reading your books right after ‘The Prey’ came out and I’ve read every one since. You are an excellent storyteller and I’m glad you never gave up!

I have read all of your books since The Prey, except for your supernatural books. You develop great characters that makes readers want to find out what comes in the next book. Thanks for your love of writing and your perseverance.

Thank you! Characters make or break the book, IMO. It's why I love JD Robb's In Death series, for example -- she's built an amazing world.
