Great news — my publisher has discounted the ebook version of THE SORORITY MURDER through the end of the month. If you haven’t read the first Regan Merritt book, now’s the time before the sequel, DON’T OPEN THE DOOR, releases in January.
You can find all the buy links and book details on my webpage.
THE SORORITY MURDER was a departure from my Quinn & Costa series. Instead of a police procedural, I wanted to write a more traditional mystery, and I have always loved cold cases. (It’s why I wrote the Maxine Revere series about an investigative crime reporter.) THE SORORITY MURDER is a stand alone, but I wanted to resolve the mystery surrounding the death of Regan’s son, so wrote a sequel, DON’T OPEN THE DOOR. It gives readers — and Regan — closure while, I hope, also being very suspenseful!
And if you enjoy audiobooks, an Audible original released earlier this month — BIRDS OF PREY, a Harlan Coben challenge. My story, WATCHERS, is set in a remote area of Arizona and tells the story of two eagle watchers who see more than they should. I listened to the anthology and was thrilled with the quality of the stories and the wonderful narration. Definitely worth a listen!
What am I doing now? Writing the fifth Quinn & Costa thriller — this one set in Los Angeles when Kara returns to testify against human trafficker David Chen and almost immediately, bodies start dropping. Also stay tuned for the “Story Behind the Story” of SEVEN GIRLS GONE, the 4th Quinn & Costa book, set in the bayou in Louisiana. Murder, corruption, and more … I’ll be posting that as soon as I get the final cover (which, based on what I’ve seen, is going to be amazing.)
I also recognize that my goal of posting a weekly writing article fell by the wayside. My excuse? My daughter got married last week! It took up all my free time this month. But as soon as I’m recovered — and finish the book I’m working on! — I have several articles ready to edit and publish. In the meantime, feel free to comment about any of my books, writing, or what you’re reading! I love chatting with readers.
